Most people know him as the first 6x Ironman World Champion. Dave Scott made a name for himself during the 80s and 90s as one of the best endurance athletes of all time. He completed his fastest Ironman at an 8-hour, 10-minute pace and notably competed head-to-head against Mark Allen in the 1989 Ironman World Championships known as the “Ironwar”. Mark started out as a water polo player and swimmer and quickly took to the extreme nature of triathlon. He has competed at the highest levels and coached other athletes to world record performances. In our conversation with Dave, we discussed:
