Slightly Biased Podcast is basically what happens when you throw a few opinionated friends in a room (or on a call), hit record, and let the conversation go wherever it wants. It’s a mix of off-the-cuff rants, pop culture takes, personal stories, and whatever weird stuff we’ve been thinking about that week. One minute we’re talking about the struggles of buying movie tickets, the next we’re debating whether Adam Sandler is actually a genius. It’s not polished, it’s not scripted, and it’s definitely not trying to be serious. Just honest, unfiltered conversations with a lot of laughs and occasional deep dives into the bizarre. If you’ve ever wanted to eavesdrop on a group of friends having a debate about why post-it notes are the best invention of all time, this is the show for you.

Vinny’s dentist cut ties (yes, seriously), Grayson’s shower routine sparks a full-blown philosophical debate about whether gravity counts as hygiene, and somehow—despite all odds—we’re still optimistic about the future of the MCU. We’ve seen Thunderbolts, and we have thoughts—rants about Marvel’s magical goop, overpowered weirdos, and the pacing problem that won’t quit. From 3D printing solutions to small talk breakdowns at the barber, it’s a rollercoaster of adulting disasters, fast food conspiracies, and the one thing we can agree on: flossing is a lifestyle. In this episode: The importance of warranties when buying appliances. Yard sales can be a new hobby to explore. 3D printing offers creative solutions for everyday needs. Listener feedback can lead to interesting discussions. Personal connections with service providers, like dentists, matter. Small talk can be awkward in certain professional settings. Hygiene habits vary widely among individuals. Shower routines can reflect deeper personal habits. Gravity does not replace the need for washing legs. Humor can be found in everyday life situations. Nostalgia plays a significant role in our appreciation of historical sites. Conspiracy theories can be humorous and absurd. Fast food establishments may have hidden practices to save money. Childhood exposure to conspiracy theories can leave lasting impressions. Classic games and shows evoke strong feelings of nostalgia. Supporting local businesses and artisans is important. PAX East is a significant event for gaming enthusiasts. 'Conclave' features a surprising twist at the end. The theme of friendship is central in 'Thunderbolts.' Characters in movies can be overpowered yet mentally unstable. Pacing issues can detract from a film's overall impact. Marvel's current phase is perceived as weak. The future of the MCU is uncertain with upcoming films. James Gunn's direction is anticipated to revitalize DC films. Recorded 5/3/2025. Hello and welcome to this early Fall podcast episode! Derek had a busy Labor Day weekend drinking Truly hard seltzer and eating bagels. He also is back on the fitness wagon and ordered some DELICIOUS premade meals. Vinny had a bittersweet Labor Day. It was filled with some great times, but he had to bid farewell to Cape Cod Starbucks until next Summer. He hopes Ruth remembers the great times they shared, and that he doesn’t spell his name with an ‘ie’. He also discovered that he is mostly Irish, thanks to Ancestry.com. Grayson moved into his new Dorchester apartment, but has yet to meet all his roommates. During the long weekend he went to New Hampshire to create some memories with his family. He also met his elderly neighbor who saved him from being towed (Old people are cool!). Oh and he might have food poisoning due to eating some questionable deli meat at lunch. Get well soon Grayson! We have a huge announcement in this episode so you better listen! Derek had a busy week travelling. His first stop was in New York City, from there he went to Washington DC, and to top it all off he went to Michigan for a wedding (he was the +1). He also experienced some flight troubles along the way so buckle up for that. He also booked a trip to London in October. Vinny also travelled but it was only out to westfield MA (for work). He also joined a fantasy football league and has no idea what he’s doing so that's cool. Go sports! He’s still running a lot because he signed up for the BAA half marathon. And to top it all off he booked a trip to Halifax in October. Grayson’s apartment hunt is finally over! He found a lovely new home in Dorchester, and it's a 1 year lease and he is saving money! Yay! He also helped yet another person move. For Labor Day weekend he is going to New Hampshire to get some R and R. Also in this episode Caroline's cat corner returns and here is where the major news is dropped! To cap it all off, we talk about the terrifying EEE and monstrous mosquitoes who carry the virus Remember to stay safe when you go outside! And of course we talk about the recent space news and Mars. Hello and welcome to the episode where we talk way too much about Dunkin’s new KIT KAT® COOLATTA® (you can blame Grayson for this). Derek spent his week by going to the driving range, playing mini-golf, and travelling to Manchester by the Sea town beach. He also went Trillium Brewing located in the Seaport for a certain special someone’s birthday. Grayson is still very busy looking for a new place to live and found a hidden gem in Dorchester. And when I say hidden gem I mean 16 bedrooms, 1 washer and dryer set, and a concrete wall. He also helped a friend move and got 1 noodle bowl in compensation. Oh, and he still has his car. Vinny rode a bike for the first time in a long time on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. He didn't fall off but he was very scared he might. He also started brewing up his own cold brew at home and doesn't quite have the recipe down yet. Any tips on this would be gladly appreciated. A Cape Cod Starbucks update is also given. We also talk about some news and other goings on in the area. Oh and always remember to clean out your belly button, there can be a rain forest of bacteria in there. Recorded 8/15/2019. Vinny participated in the annual ‘Run to Home Base’ at Fenway Park and had a terrifying encounter with the Red Sox’s mascot. Grayson visited Revere beach where the International Sand Sculpting Festival was being held. This year’s theme was the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Derek saw ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, no spoilers in this episode about it. And everyone played Dungeons and Dragons together on Sunday and lived happily ever after.
