On March 28, 1979, 17-year-old Holly Branagan, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, was found brutally murdered in her home in an affluent area of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. At the time of her murder, Holly was on the phone with a friend when someone knocked at the door. She answered the door and returned to the phone, telling her friend she would call back, but she never did. The next day, her lifeless body was discovered by her older brother and a friend. Holly had been stabbed 18 times, with 15 of the wounds in her back and 3 defensive wounds. Her murder was eerily compared to the film "Halloween," which had been released just a few months earlier and featured a similar home invasion scenario. Police believe that Holly's killer took advantage of her home setting. Holly did not seem to have any enemies, making it difficult to establish a motive. The nature of the stab wounds suggests that this murder was deeply personal. As we approach March 28, 2025, it will mark 46 years since the tragic murder of Holly Branagan. Still, no suspect has been officially named, and no one has been arrested in connection with her death. This case remains devastating and puzzling, contributing to the list of 35 unsolved homicides in Bethlehem. In 2011, 27-year-old Ellen Greenberg, a newly engaged teacher from Philadelphia, was found dead in her suburban apartment. She had suffered 20 stab wounds to her chest, abdomen, head, and the back of her neck, along with bruises that were in various stages of healing. Initially, authorities at the crime scene believed it was a suicide. However, the medical examiner ruled her death a homicide, only to later reverse his decision back to suicide. This inconsistency left Ellen's parents, Josh and Sandee Greenberg, heartbroken and determined to fight for justice for their daughter, who they firmly believed did not take her own life. For the past 14 years, the Greenbergs have been working diligently to uncover the truth about Ellen's death, revealing numerous inconsistencies related to the investigation. Grace Packer, a bubbly 14 year old with rosy cheeks and a smile for days was last seen at a 4th, 2016 July picnic with relatives. She officially was reported missing on July 11th, 2016 by her adoptive mother, Sara Packer. Sara Packer told investigators Grace left her home in Abington Township, Pennsylvania with $300 dollars cash with her. About 2 months later in September it was reported that she might be in the location of a community center, just outside of Philadelphia. In October of 2016, detectives Sara Packer, Grace's mother with child endangerment, and obstructing administration of the law, a misdemeanor. Detectives alleged that Sara Packer withheld critical information and gave misleading statements to police after reporting Grace missing on July 11, 2016. On Halloween, 2016, 2 hunters found remains scatted along Francis Walter Dam in Bear Creek Township. The remains were positivity identified as Grace Packer. What followed was more than a classic who done it. The arrest of the people involved was easy, but it was the reason why that left a community, state and nation in a state of shock and permanent mourning. She awoke during the robbery of her dorm room in which her killer permanently silenced her to thwart any efforts of her positivity identifying him. Jeanne's parents, who believed that Lehigh University had failed to share vital information with its students regarding campus safety, campaigned for legislative reform for several years following Jeanne's death.
