The authorities clearly don’t like the ultra culture sweeping Scotland right now but the scenes in the stands would say fans feel differently. We’ve seen a growing connection in authorities speaking about these supporter groups in a derogatory manner, brandishing them hooligans, committing violent crimes. So in order to move the conversation forward we teamed up with Mentalida Media’s Martino Simcik to ask who are Ultras, what ethics do they derive from and do they have a place in football? Tino worked with The Scottish Football Show’s Fin Marks and Laura Brannan at COPA90 where he presented supporter culture documentaries. He’s long been a friend of many ultras groups around the world, so who better to catch up with on such a hot topic right now.
