Everything is subject to what Shakespeare calls “the corrupted currents of this world.” We associate conscience, not with moral absolutes, but with our evolving perceptions of good and evil. Conscience is inextricably connected to agency. We have the agency to redirect our conscience. If we trade the absolute moral values of God for the relative ethical system of political correctness, then, because of the law of agency, our conscience will acquiesce and adopt the new system of values. Nothing in this world is greater than the search for spiritual truth. Seek the absolute truths of God and conscience will correct itself.
