The messages of Haggai and Malachi are some of the most applicable of the Minor Prophets to the New Testament believer even though these men wrote 400-500 years before Christ was born. Their audience, Jews after the exile, no longer struggled with idolatry but now struggled to maintain a true relationship with God.
