Manage episode 442728012 series 3597630
In this episode of *Bay Rats & Buoys*, Captain Gaige returns to thank all the listeners for the incredible support and comments as we continue to roll out this exciting new podcast. Our hearts go out to the communities down south grappling with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Up here, boat traffic has slowed considerably after three relentless weeks of East-North-East winds, making the fishing grounds hard to reach. But despite the gnarly conditions, the fall run is kicking off in epic fashion with the mullet migration along the coastline. As the water temps drop, the fishing heats up! We’re targeting trophy striped bass, bluefish, false albacore, bonito, Spanish mackerel, and the legendary green crab crunchers—blackfish, or Tog. Don’t miss the action as we dive into the challenges and rewards of fall fishing!
