In 2009, Alma experienced the heartbreaking loss of her only son, a tragedy that forever changed her life.
But her journey didn’t stop there. A few years later, a devastating fire left her homeless, and shortly after, a painful divorce added financial hardship to her already heavy burden.
About two and a half years ago, Alma suffered a severe stroke that affected her right side, yet incredibly, her cognitive and communication skills remained intact.
Despite these overwhelming obstacles, Alma has found purpose in her pain. She has authored two powerful books, Dream Killers and From the Waiting Room to the Recovery Room, sharing her journey with the hope of inspiring others to never give up on their dreams, no matter what life may throw at them.
Today, Alma joins us to share her incredible story of resilience. From her bed, she continues to motivate others, encouraging everyone to persevere through adversity, accept what they cannot control, and cherish the abilities they still possess.
