Idaho’s "Phone Free Learning Act," introduced by Governor Brad Little and Superintendent Debbie Critchfield, aims to limit cellphone use in classrooms to improve student focus and social interactions. The initiative encourages schools to engage with their communities on policies restricting non-educational device use. Critchfield highlighted the detrimental impact of excessive screen time and social media on students’ relationships and academic engagement.
