When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Today’s Prince-themed special edition of Electronically Yours features one of the most important musicians who played with Prince in the Sign O' The Times era. Of all the musicians who played with Prince in the Sign O' The Times era, Matt Fink—AKA Dr. Fink—was one of the only players who witnessed Prince's full musical transformation first-hand.
Dr. Fink joined Prince's band in 1978, and he soon became a core member of The Revolution through the Sign O' The Times, Lovesexy, and Nude Tours. As Dr Fink recalls, “One day, Prince said to me, 'See if you can do something else with the scrub look, the doctor thing.'" - the rest is history.
