Ramadan is much more than a fast from sunrise and sunset
Manage episode 358642006 series 3319754
Starting today, March 22nd, Muslims across the world will celebrate Ramadan. Non-Muslims often associate the holiday with fasting since those who observe it refrain from any food or drinks between sunrise and sunset. But it’s much more than that.
In this episode we learn from Imam Fadhel Alahlani of the Imam-Al Khoei Islamic Center of New York and Mirum Zafar, the senior community outreach and enrollment coordinator at the Arab-American Family Support Center.
