A recipient of the Spingarn Medal from the NAACP, an inductee in the Boys and Girls Club Alumni Hall of Fame, one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people, and one of Glamour's Women of the Year, Copeland also made her critically acclaimed Broadway debut in 2015 in On the Town.
