The Miami Hurricanes and Oregon Ducks are battling it out for five star cornerback DJ Pickett. He’s the top recruit in the State of Florida and will be announcing his decision on July 17th. Pickett’s father said in an interview that no matter which school he picks, he will likely shut his recruitment down and focus on that choice before National Signing Day in December. LSU is also in the mix for Pickett, but Steve Wiltfong from On3 Sports believes Miami and the Ducks are in a better position. Most of the buzz currently points to Oregon. Can Miami convince Pickett to follow in the footsteps of his cousin, Booker Pickett Jr, who just enrolled at Miami?

Alex Donno and guest Bruce Warner argue about Miami’s chances at Pickett. Warner feels he’s essentially an Oregon lock, while Donno feels there is time to change his mind over the next nine days.
