The History of the Pitbull
The pitbull is thought to have originated in Britain as a mix between a bulldog and a terrier. People sought to blend the power of a bulldog with the agility of a terrier, therefore this was done.
They were often employed in dog fights in the United Kingdom until animal welfare regulations prohibited it in the early 1800s. However, this brief period in their history appears to have stained their reputation, leading people to dread them, but this misunderstanding is gradually improving.
