In this episode, we go to where it all began. Author Rose Sandy digs deep into the character of Calla Cress. She is the character that has been with Rose the longest and is The Decrypter.
Calla Cress is a British Museum curator in charge of the Roman and Byzantine collections. She’s a recently turned cyber defence agent working for a secret, multi-government, spy organization, the International Security Taskforce (ISTF).
Born with an appetite for justice, Calla Cress wants answers and she wants them yesterday! Calla’s fast-paced adventures tend to lead to complicated situations. Her fierce strikes aren’t pretty, but they get the job done. Her abilities in decrypting mysterious codes and cyphers, and knocking a punch or two are top-notch. Of course, she’s an expert puzzle-solver – the woman’s a genius, really! Recently she’s discovered she’s made of tougher stuff thanks to a dose of enhanced genealogy developed by a mysterious centuries-old group called the operatives.
