Episode 14: Mental Health in Schools
Manage episode 358100648 series 3412045
Welcome to That Foreign Feeling. Where we bring conversations about grief, loss, and mental health to the table.
Raising children takes a village and is quite possibly the greatest investment with the most to lose. They are our future. Individually and collectively, they are and should be top priority because one day, they will be in charge of providing and caring for the next generation after them. Our children’s mental health rests at the core of this investment.
Our new episode highlights children’s mental health as we are joined by two passionate advocates and teachers within our elementary and school system. Heidi Link is New Richmond’s Hillside Elementary Principal and Erica Bergmann serves as New Richmond School District Mental Health Coordinator.
Join our hosts Steph and Niccy as they visit with Heidi and Erica about how ‘that foreign feeling’ has played a role in their lives, current trends in children’s mental health, building connections, resources to help parents and the community, and this years stop the stigma event.
If you don’t have time to listen know, you’ll want to save and tune in later! Episode 14 is one for the books!
