Raj Aggarwal is the Founder and President of Provoc with headquarters in Washington, DC! They are a strategic marketing communication company that focuses on dismantling systemic racism and ending major diseases. Raj's parents are from India and he was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in Maryland. He shares how growing up he did not feel like he fit being an immigrant from a different background in a not so diverse community. Eventually he created his own community and a place where people felt they belonged while attending George Washington University and becoming one of the largest and most well known party promotional groups hosting South Asian events in the country. A year or two after college graduation he started Provoc focusing on design and marketing. He mentions that in business you need to keep it simple and not over complicate things. Raj shares about his period of addiction and how his work ethic he learned from his dad kept him productive and accountable, work was his salvation during his addiction. There are going to be many ups and downs but failure is going to be your greatest teacher, you are going to learn more from your failures than anything else and always remember to keep the faith!
