This study focused on spinal osteoarthritis in older adults and its role in predicting persistent and severe back pain after one year. Researchers analyzed spinal stiffness, range of motion, and radiographic features like osteophytes and disc space narrowing in over 500 adults. Over 60% had back pain one year later.
