Improving Women’s Rights: Education and the Law
Manage episode 287384683 series 2782873
In the third episode in our International Women's Day series on the theme #choosetochallenge, we are joined by fellow Young Fabians and podcast regulars Emily Batchelor and Amy Dwyer!
Emily and Amy spoke with Marie about the different ways in which our patriarchal society is failing women and girls, discussing issues such as public sexual harassment, revenge porn, objectification of women and girls, lack of provision for domestic abuse survivors and male control over female sexuality. They propose ideas to tackle these issues with educational and legislative reform to improve the rights of women and girls.
