Manage episode 309419695 series 3032825
I could listen to Joan’s beautiful Irish accent all day long! I met Joan quite a few years ago now, it has been wonderful to see how Joan has reconnected with her art, that has been a life-long passion and is building her business as an artist through her paintings, book illustrations, children’s books and music for little ones. I have the pleasure of seeing Joan’s work every day – I’m a big coffee drinker and I bought some of Joan’s beautiful seascapes printed on a set of coasters which make my office desk look beautiful and remind me of the sea views on the south coast.
Joan’s Bio - Joan Wallington is the Irish artist behind Joan Kennedy Artist where she lovingly creates seascape paintings and illustrations of quirky animals such as scruffy dogs and mice for children’s bedrooms and offices. Each piece is created using oils, watercolours or inks and although she has painted since she was a child, she only recently turned her passion for creating art into a business. She has turned her art into prints, and home decor products which can be seen at www.joankennedyartist.co.uk
She is also the founder of Little Hands Music teaching babies and toddlers through music and helping parents with their child’s development. Based in Staffordshire these small groups have been running over 15 years. www.littlehandsmusic.co.uk
