The first of these two special episodes sees us going “doppio” with double the number of guests. In this episode, I discuss the mental health challenges of lockdown and modern life with Micheal Anthony Hayes, Lee Smith, and Martin Davies. We cover topics such as toxic masculinity and expectations, financial pressures, grief, and the cost-of-living crisis. We have a few laughs and quite a few coffees along the way. Look out for next month’s episode when we speak to 2 mental healthcare professionals about the other side of the dealing with mental health during lockdown.

This is a bonus episode for season 2. Season 3 will return in September 2023 when we’ll be talking to Joe Hillcox about music, games, and joining the force. Other things to look forward to next season are Dan “Dan the Banjo Man” Walsh, including a live performance, a call from Las Vegas discussing Stranger Things for Halloween, and Peter Morgan from Fish Records talking about those round things with a hole in the middle that spin and make a noise.
