The athletic year enters its final week as your usual trio flip in their history books to a particularly turbulent period in Tech history: the 1910-1920s. Colloquially referred to (by us anyway) as Tech’s Scratch/Claw/Beg/Borrow/Steal period, the then-Georgia School of Technology struggled with rising attendance in the post-war period without the state funding to match. How did it survive financially? What were the legislative machinations that forced it into a corner? Who were the major players of the time?
