Summer Reading Series! Have you ever felt like this world is so complicated that it has you tangled up? For all of our modern conveniences, life doesn’t seem to be any easier. The number of mental health issues has skyrocketed in the last several years causing us to wonder what has happened. Maybe there are some principles that our forefathers knew that we can learn from. Brenda Yoder has lived in Amish country for years and noticed some things about the community and living on a farm that we can learn for a more peaceful life. She shares what she has learned from her latest book Uncomplicated: Secret Skills for a Compelling Life and her own experiences in life and her career in the schools.
Brenda L. Yoder is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, school counselor, speaker, and author. She’s authored Fledge: Launching Your Kids Without Losing Your Mind, Balance, Busyness & Not Doing It All, and most recently Uncomplicated: Secret Skills for a Compelling Life. She’s the co-host of the Midlife Mom Podcast and Midlife Mom Facebook Community. She is a wife, mom of four adult children and 2 daughters-in-law, and three beautiful grandsons. She loves gardening and creating beautiful spaces. Brenda specializes in faith, life, and family beyond the storybook image.
