Welcome to the seventh episode of the Stupid Sequels Podcast! Our guest is Rebecca Lee and we are reviewing Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. We continuing our streak of Disney movies and present the podcasts’ first midquel! This not so classic Christmas tale is also the first award winning movie we have covered (unless we’re counting Razzies). The sequel does some creative timeline embellishment from the original, but since the full cast returns, it turns out all right. With a villain voiced by Tim Curry, phallic Christmas tree metaphors and an obligatory Hanukkah shout out from an stereotype, this film fits right in with the others. ?We find truly terrible movies and give them all the attention they don’t deserve. ?Each episode we’ll discuss exactly what made such a horrible sequel from casting to budget to just plain bad writing. While we all love a great movie there’s something just a little more fun about watching a seriously stupid sequel. Now while there are plenty of awful sequels out there we have a few guidelines about the kind of movies we’ll be reviewing. We’re talking about direct to video, made for tv, never appeared in a theatre sequels. The ones the studios gave up on before they even started. Our logo is designed by Nicole Wiseman @NicWise.
