Wow! What an incredible radio show! All three of our fantastic guests—Rikki Arundel, Ailsa Petchey, and Fiona Catchpowle—were eager and ready to jump on air together, making this one of the most dynamic and informative episodes we’ve had!
As always, we began with global love, hugs, and a special shout-out for birthdays. We also shared lots of exciting updates, including prizes for the upcoming Evolution of Finance for Business Women event on 17 October. Don’t miss it! And, of course, our regular 1230 TWC networking meetings are in full swing, so make sure to check the calendar!
Meet Our Incredible Guests:
Rikki Arundel – Award-Winning Keynote Speaker & Speaking Coach
Rikki Arundel has a wealth of experience empowering women through the art of communication. As an award-winning speaker and coach, Rikki has dedicated her career to helping women find their voice, harnessing the power of storytelling and public speaking to inspire change and lead with confidence.
In our conversation, Rikki shared insights on:
• How improving speaking skills opens doors for leadership opportunities.
• The transformational journeys of the women she’s coached.
• What changing her gender taught her about navigating the business world as a woman.
With two TEDx talks, a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024, and being the founder of the Professional Speakers Association, Rikki’s journey is truly inspiring. Fun fact: she started her career as a Butlin’s Redcoat before transitioning into life insurance and then public speaking!
Ailsa Petchey – Menopause Coach & Health Expert
Ailsa Petchey has spent over 32 years in the health and wellness industry, empowering women to navigate menopause and hormonal changes. As a Pilates instructor, menopause coach, and author of Don’t Sweat It! Manage Your Menopause in 21 Days, Ailsa helps women create healthier habits and achieve hormone balance.
With World Menopause Day approaching on 18 October, Ailsa walked us through the basics of menopause and hormone changes, sharing valuable advice for women unsure of where they are in their menopause journey. She also introduced her latest initiative, the “Don’t Sweat It!” Walking & Talking group, where women can support one another and reach the goal of 1 million steps in 40 weeks!
Some key questions we tackled:
• How do you know if you’re in peri-menopause or menopause?
• Why is walking such a great tool for midlife health?
Fiona Catchpowle – Menstrual Health Advocate & Menopause Doula
Fiona Catchpowle is a Menopause Doula and a Menstrual Health Evangelist, preaching the importance of understanding the 5th Vital Sign—menstrual health. Fiona is passionate about shifting the focus from menopause to menstrual health, believing that the conversation needs to start there.
