For a location that has helped pave the way for the Caribbean's recovery from the pandemic, it's no surprise that the US Virgin Islands is at the vanguard of another innovation: a new Caribbean tourism conference. The inaugural US Virgin Islands Tourism Summit will take place next week in St. Thomas, with several panels and speeches discussing the current situation of tourism in the territory. The event, which will be held on July 25, seeks to "serve as an annual forum to spotlight the tourism industry in the US Virgin Islands and throughout the Caribbean," The United States Virgin Islands Department of Tourism is hosting the event. Speakers will include US Virgin Islands Governor Albert Bryan Jr., USVI Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte, Black Travel Alliance President Martinique Lewis, and Brittany McCallum, VP of Basketball Marketing at KLUTCH Sports Group, among others.
