It was never going to be long before Adsy sat down to chat to Reece from 4 Hearts Brewing. Reece and Adsy have known each other for almost 4 years, with Adsy being present for some of Reece’s first recipes and brewing experiences. This chat was always going to be fun, but it was also good to see Reece on a professional level, having attained the Head Brewer role in a relatively short amount of time in this industry.
4 Hearts Brewing has been around since 2013 and grew from a couple of craft beer nuts who wanted somewhere where they could drink those beers. They decided to started microbrewery, and Wade Curtis who was a local amateur brewer at the time had 4 Hearts Brewing as his own small brand. They signed a deal to start at The Pumpyard and have Wade as Head Brewer.
After some time Wade left to go back to his love of Marketing and a man called Ken Friend, who was a classically German trained brewer took over the role. Reece was his assistant, having come from learning brewing from none other than Charlie from Helios, and then Reece became the main man. Reece now has the opportunity to stamp his own mark on the brewery and the beers. He loves his beers, he loves his brewing, but he doesn’t really love chatting but we made him talk to Adsy anyway.
