Continuing with our NEW series called "The Servant King," (A Study of the Gospel of Mark).... Do you remember when you first felt a change within you? The change that I am referring to is the one where you started to become tired, or bored, with the life that you had been leading and all of a sudden everything that regarded Jesus or God became fascinating to you. Speaking for myself, although I knew that God was always with me, I can say that this is when the scales began to fall from my eyes; this is when I felt God calling me and I was ready to completely open up my heart to Him. I didn't know what lie ahead of me, but I knew that I wanted to start putting God in my heart, first and foremost. If you’ve ever experienced the same type of situation in your life, this is the point where servant hood begins to take prominence in your life. It becomes a special thing to you because you begin to feel like you are connecting with God. You become willing to serve in order to help bring others to God. This is when we become attacked by the enemy because we are taking away his servants to bring them to God. In today's teaching, Pastor Ben explains, and expounds, on why "Service is Sacrifice," and why we are to continue to serve Jesus (God) regardless of these attacks. Although these attacks will always continue, we must remember that with God as our guide, we will ALWAYS be victorious against the enemy.
