"The Power of Persistent Prayer" (Luke 11:1-13) October 20, 2024
Manage episode 446206779 series 3497757
We continue in our journey through the Gospel of Luke.
In Luke 11:1-13, Jesus teaches His disciples about the importance of prayer. When they ask Him to teach them how to pray, He provides the Lord's Prayer as a model, emphasizing reverence for God, asking for daily needs, forgiveness, and deliverance from temptation. Jesus further explains the importance of persistence in prayer, illustrating this with a parable of a man who persistently asks his neighbor for bread at midnight. He encourages believers to ask, seek, and knock, promising that those who do will receive answers, find what they seek, and have doors opened for them.
