世界第四人口大国印度尼西亚将在2月14日举行五年一次的全国大选。在印尼2亿7000万人口中，有大约2亿名合格选民。他们将在三组候选人中，也就是国防部长普拉博沃、前雅加达特区首长阿尼斯及前中爪哇省省长甘查尔之中，选出他们心仪的候选人。

现任总统佐科不是候选人之一，但是他的影子却在这次选举中处处可见。佐科36岁的儿子吉布兰这次与普拉博沃搭档参选副总统。有人认为佐科在打造王朝政治。他为什么要这样做？以支持民主的形象上台的佐科是否晚节不保？

In what has been termed the world’s biggest election to be held in a day, approximately 205 million Indonesians are eligible to vote for their next president and vice-president on February 14. The voters will also choose their executive and legislative representatives at all administrative levels across the world's fourth most populous nation.

The three pairs of candidates vying for president and vice-president include the defence minister Prabowo Subianto, former governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan, and former Central Java governor Ganjar Pranowo.

Incumbent president Joko Widodo, popularly known as Jokowi, is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term. However, Mr Widodo’s influence is evident throughout this election. His eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, 36, is running for vice-president alongside Mr Prabowo.

Dynastic politics has been the subject of debate and dominated the headlines, with some accusing Mr Widodo of attempting to retain his influence after leaving office. What are his intentions? Has he overplayed his hand?
