In this episode of the “Expert Series”, Daniël Strijbos

talks about the importance of collaboration between physicians, employers and patients in coming up with successful “Back At Work After Surgery” protocols. He also addresses current challenges in assessments for orthopaedic surgeries as well as the gaps in intervention before and after surgery.

Daniël is a PhD Candidate and Physiotherapist at Nij Smehllinghe Hospital, Drachten & Amsterdam UMC. He is currently working on developing a protocol for ‘Back At Work After Surgery’. At the PREMUS, WDPI and MYOPAIN 2023, Daniël will be hosting a roundtable with Dr. Paul Kuijer titled, “Getting a better grip on barriers and facilitators to implement the Back At Work After Surgery (BAAS) clinical pathway.”
