Ever wondered how classroom experiences have been reshaped by the rapid evolution of educational technology? From personal computers that sparked the start of the EdTech revolution, to the sweeping adoption of such technologies during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, we're taking you through our personal and professional encounters with these game-changing tools. Together, we'll reflect on the challenges and triumphs of integrating technology into the education system, shedding light on how hybrid learning models have provided equitable opportunities for all students to engage with technology.
We dive into a discussion about the revolutionary power of game-based learning, focusing on how it's raising awareness of astronomy in primary schools. Through the lens of several EU Education Projects, we'll scrutinize how AI and other technologies are bridging the digital divide, making astronomy more than just a complex, obscure occupation and transforming it into a journey of creativity and art.
Moving on from there, Tim is joined by Sophie Cacouault and her colleague Bahia Fahmi, from the French digital pen pal platform called BEEGUP. She'll share her perspective on how technology can connect students globally and expand their horizons, while helping them develop their language skills in a friendly and safe environment. Finally, Sophie gives us a few pointers on what it takes to build an EdTech Start-up.
