When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Yes, this is our last foray into the 'Dark Side of the 90s' Vice series.
In keeping with the total and complete theme of FG itself, we just had to talk more about the birth of the Seattle sound and Sub-Pop records. This episode focuses more on the independent label scene and just how corporations really tried to ruin everything.
At least there is a silver lining in the fact that Sub-Pop is still kicking as a label and has become a cultural touchstone to the city of Seattle.
This episode talks to Bruce Pavitt (Sub-Pop co-founder), Charles Peterson (photographer), and others to get a more complete picture.
