The untold story of Melbourne, FL 80s New Wave/Surf Punk band, LOCALS ONLY
Join us, as Brian Cleary (keyboards) and Johnny Lee (bass guitar) tell the story of their 1980's new wave/surf punk band, Locals Only. Locals Only formed in Melbourne, FL in 1980 and were earliest new wave surf bands of the era out of the Central Florida region. They played at venues such as Sleep Out Louie's, Brassy's, FIT Rat, The Boardwalk and more. The band played throughout Central Florida, opening for touring bands such as T.S.O.L. (L.A.) and Marginal Man (D.C.). Locals Only recorded one studio album in 1984, but it was never released. The album may eventually see the light of day in the near future! [Recorded: 03/23/24]
