It’s hard to believe that for many of us, it’s been 2+ years since we’ve attended an in-person research conference. For a lot of grad students, it’ll be their first time ever attending one. Attending research conferences is one of the major perks that we get to take advantage of in our journey to get a degree. Listen as we discuss our past experiences and talk about lessons learned from attending conferences in the past, in addition to and how we prepare for conference attendance this year. We share tips on applying for travel awards, networking, prioritizing what sessions to attend, challenges of being an introvert in these spaces, positioning yourself to grab a coveted internship, job, or fellowship and so much more.
