Corinne Milien -WRK, Winning Edge Leadership Academy & Building Diversity Through Sports
Manage episode 364798009 series 3002345
Corinne Milien is the founder of WRK, which partners with organizations to increase diversity and inclusion within the workforce and advance professional leadership opportunities for the underrepresented. Prior to WRK, at the age of 29, Corinne co-founded and was the Executive Director of the Winning Edge Leadership Academy, which is devoted to building diversity in sports business, media, and entertainment by cultivating the next generation of women and minority leaders.
Corinne is the proud daughter of Haitian immigrants and, thus, a first-generation American; she served honorably in the United States Air Force and graduated with a degree in Sports Management. Corinne then went on to work for legendary Women's Basketball coach Pat Summit at the University of Tennessee. She then went on to work at ESPN as an Events Supervisor, where she managed several of the company's owned and operated athletic contests and events. Corinne's story only demonstrates how anything is possible with a purpose-driven mindset and the goal of empowering the next generation.
