Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every week day! This is message #170 and I am Aaron Havens.

I’ve had four solid days of getting a lot of work done. I look back and in a lot of ways I’ve had a very productive week. I celebrate that. My personality and make up is to finish. I’m a finisher. I take great responsibility for lingering tasks and nothing gets me smiling more than wrapping up, checking it off, task complete!

However, I also tend to put things off until they bubble up, I have enough urgency to focus intently on something and throw all I’ve got at it. How about you? If you were given a task on Monday that was due on Friday… a big one… would you stay at the office all day on Monday? Would you work on it a little bit at a time and wrap it up early? Would you think about it a bit, kinda do something about it throughout the week, and then crank it out with minutes to spare on Friday? Yeah… that last one is a lot like me. I like the pressure of making myself focus. How about you?

So, sorry to keep you lingering on the question.
What is the one thing you can do today to free you up in big ways?

What have you been procrastinating on for too long? It doesn’t have to be big. I have a couple emails that will take me 5 minutes to send that I’ve had in my inbox for WAY WAY too long. I’m not sure why I haven’t responded yet. So for me, 5 minutes today will clear up my headspace since I’ve had a “to do” in my mind for a few weeks now. A simple 5 minute task today, and a few more of these action steps towards things I’ve been dragging my feet on, will equal a bigger smile and a clearer mind as I head into the weekend! What about you my friends? What can you slay today?
