Today’s guest, Marilu Henner, is a highly acclaimed and popular actress, producer and best selling author who is perhaps best remembered for her portrayal of “Elaine Nardo” in the hit TV show “Taxi”, for which she received 5 Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress.

She also played Burt Reynolds’ wife “Ava Newton” on “Evening Shade”, and she was “Aida” in over a dozen Aurora Teagarden Mystery movies. But her body of work extends far beyond those memorable roles. She’s appeared in numerous shows on Broadway, including the original cast of “Grease”, as well as “Over Here”, “Pal Joey”, “Chicago” and “The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife”. And she starred in many national touring productions including “Annie Get Your Gun”.

Her feature film credits include “Bloodbrothers”, “Hammett”, “The Man Who Loved Women”, “Johnny Dangerously”, “Chains of Gold”, “Imperfections”, “Life With Dog”, “The Mimic” and “L.A. Story”, for which she was nominated for an American Comedy Award for Funniest Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.

On TV, she’s appeared in a whole slew of movies and miniseries including “Dream House”, “Love with a Perfect Stranger”, “Grand Larceny”, “Ladykillers”, “My Son is Innocent”, “Titanic”, “The Governor’s Wife”, “Good Behaviour”, “A Kismet Christmas” and many more. And she’s guest starred in dozens of great TV series including “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”, “The Tracy Ullman Show”, “Cybill”, “Providence”, “ER”, “Grey’s Anatomy” and many more. And she co-starred in an episode of Great Performances called “Grown-Ups”, for which she was nominated for a Cable Ace Award for Best Actress.
