It’s our annual Labrador Morning Turkey Drive! We’re out here bright and early,

braving the cold on the front lawn of CBC on Loring Drive in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

1:01 - For today's Labrador Tea, we're going back to the 2015 Turkey Drive. We hear from some Peacock Primary School students.

9:57 - North West River singer-songwriter Leander Baikie will be serenading us with tunes throughout our annual Turkey Drive. We are chatting with him to start the day.

15:15 -There are all kinds of people helping everyone have enough to eat across Labrador. As our Turkey Drive gets underway, we hear about a new free lunch program for students at Sheshatshiu Innu School.

23:27 - Leander's first song Grandma Got Over by a Reindeer.

29:25 - Leander plays a little jig.

32:59 - We're kickstarting our Turkey Drive out in our CBC parking lot this morning! We speak with long-time volunteer Paula Dawe about the history of the Roland Shears Memorial Christmas Hampers - and hear about the need for these hampers in the community now.

40:12 - John Gaudi speaks with turkey donator Mike Mealey.

44:26 - Leander plays his second song.

48:33 - John Gaudi speaks with Randy Letto of the Rotary Club.

52:18 - Food security is at the heart of today's Turkey Drive and there are a lot of groups helping with food security all across Labrador. We were joined by the chairperson of the Sivunivut Inuit Community Corporation to hear about the community freezer program in North West River.

56:44 - Leander sings The Mummers Song.

59:37 - John Gaudi speaks with Major Kay Barnes of the Salvation Army.
