With more than 150,000 veterans calling Jacksonville home and many of them struggling in all realms – mentally, physically, emotionally and financially -- with no place to call their own, a community center to share and connect with other veterans is a long overdue necessity. Yes, there are multiple non-profit, vet- related organizations available but they only offer short-term, temporary programs providing classes that highlight a specific goal, like drawing to express emotions or how to file for benefits.
