One of my favorite aspects of a solid day's grind in the backcountry is the meal at the end of the day. The bag of freeze dried you choose may either add to your enjoyment or contribute immensely to your misery.
Listen in as we discuss a hidden gem of a US-based backcountry meal company nestled in the mountains of Pennsylvania, On Point Adventure Foods (OPAF). OPAF is defying the industry trend of large fancy bags full of over-salted ingredients from who knows where with locally-sourced meat and vegetables from PA farmers and 4-H groups. The meals the husband and wife team prepare are some of their very own favorite recipes, making your dinning experience more like a "home cooked" meal.
In this episode, your going to hear some key options OPAF offers, such as custom recipes, options to add your own brand of collagen peptides to each bag, fruit and vegetable smoothies and a couple new meals to choose from later this summer.
