We make New Year's resolutions because we want to see a change in our lives. We want to start a new hobby, say yes more, say no more, start a habit, stop a habit… All for the purpose of experiencing a more full life. But over time, we often find ourselves falling short. The same thing happens when we first decide to follow Jesus. We might not think everything will change immediately, but we do think at least some of it will. Then as time goes on, we find ourselves still doing the same things we did before becoming a Christian, and asking whether or not this stuff really works… But here's the key: Spiritual Disciplines are not the end goal!
