We hit a new record folks! Mason and I talked for nearly 3 hours in this one!
Mason is the bass player and one of the singers in Fuzzy Vandelay, America's Favorite Band. He's also the mind behind [pseudonym], which is certainly one of MY new favorite bands. Most importantly, he's a great guy with an AMAZING mind for music. I already had Tich on the pod, and I've been itching to get his partner in crime on for months.
Seriously, I have an immense admiration for how Mason makes and releases music. Being part of the Fuzzy Vandelay trio he's filled with creative ideas in promoting, performing..."everythinging" music! And, of course, I admire any band that stays together for more than 10 minutes. With [pseudonym], however, you really get a sense of Mason's full creative abilities. He does it all, and the amount of ground that he covers with his impressive discography is a sight to behold. Mason is actually looking to flex his production prowess and work with more artists, if anyone is interested!
Our conversation went all over the place, from our musical influences to the creative process to the dynamics of keeping a band together to Tim and Eric...and so much more. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
