Jake and Carl talk about how it is to be a designer who sometimes is merely a tool for a client. This doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing but it is something a lot of designers struggle to deal with. As creatives we take a lot of pride in the creative work we do and it's important not to let those feeling get in the way of the relationships with clients. However, sometimes a client isn't the best fit and you have to be willing to address that. At the same time, sometimes you just have to be a tool for your client. Throw in a couple of interesting news items and Rookie Recommendations and you have episode 180!
