"I closed that lead!" is what I hear a lot from B2B sales people. Truth be told: No, you didn't. Sales is not about selling. When a deal is made, ultimately, it is the buyer's decision to buy. Your job in sales is to make it to lower your buyer's 'resistance to change' so much so that your buyer can get the buy-in internally and make the decision to buy from you.
