“Will Smith slaps Chris Rock on The Oscars stage.”

You must have been watching the event on your television at that moment. You must have heard or read about it as the news spread quickly online. How did you feel? It's easy enough to pass judgment and say that Will acted irrationally, or you can defend his action because he did it to protect his woman.

What happened at that moment is something that serves as a lesson for every one of us. The Oscars is an event meant to celebrate winners. But that brief moment when Will gave in to his emotions tainted the mood of that night and resulted in severe repercussions for him.

Does Will’s punishment fit the offense?

Dee Brown welcomes back his Chief Operating Officer Grandon Gray and Chief Data & Compliance Officer Erik Stevenson on the show to talk about the importance of DISCIPLINE, especially for people in business. The discussion will have the Oscars incident as an example of how someone’s inability to control his emotions and actions ruined a reputation that took a long time to build.

In this cancel culture that we live in, I don't feel that Will should be canceled. I think we do need some grace.
-Erik Stevenson, Chief Data & Compliance Officer of The P3 Group
