Smooth Honey Bear Blues (o4-16-24) Rising Sons & Albert King "Live"
Manage episode 412969224 series 3534059
This episode features the music of Rising Sons, a band formed in 1964 featuring Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder. They were together for only 2 years and before the release of the these recordings from 1964, during that time they only charted one single. These previously unreleased recordings were stored and nearly forgotten before their release in 1992 by Columbia Records. Rounding out the two hour show are cuts from the "Live" cd by Albert King, with songs Don't Burn Down The Bridge, That's What The Blues Is All About and Stormy Monday.
It was a pleasure to spin the music for your listening. I hope you enjoy are much as I did.
Be Kind.
