Technically, Bahr is calculated in Urdu Poetry by counting the syllables in each sher or couplet. But, can metre and musicality be constricted to mathematics? I've taught Bahr and I still believe that all good poetry reflects Bahr, but, cannot be ruled out if the math doesn't fit. Aapko kya lagta hai? Batayega zaroor.
