How to Bridge Across Differences and Create Belonging At Work w/ Beth Ridley
Manage episode 449735773 series 3562388
As recruiters, we’re well aware that for a candidate, getting the job is only the first step in the journey. In order to excel in the organization, they have to show up to work and feel like they belong.
Every human being brings their entire self to work. They are an amalgamation of all of their identity and life experiences. When the culture within an organization is narrow, people can struggle to feel like they fit in.
This in turn, can hinder their ability to innovate, raise their hands for projects, do what they do well and thrive professionally.
When we bridge across differences and make everyone feel like they belong, the culture gets stronger, people will dig deep and engage in the work, and that makes the company more successful.
How can leaders make sure they foster belonging? How do we create space for people to show up authentically at work? In this episode, I’m joined by author, speaker, and organizational transformation consultant and the CEO of Ridley Consulting Group, Beth Ridley. We talk about the secret sauce of every thriving organization - a culture of belonging.
