The ‘Talent Instinct’ podcast episode 13 by Chantal Penny is an electrifying space where we dive into how construction business owners revamp their hunt for top-tier talent by ‘instinctivizing’ your efforts. Time to dismantle sexual harassment in the workplace and to lift the veil of silence for those suffering, and discuss the new sexual harassment laws that have come into play in Australia. I share stories, examples and what the law specifically says constitutes sexual harassment. I also offer tips for employers on what they need to consider to ensure they are compliant with the law, the changing environment particularly in the construction industry. This includes considering policies and procedures, risk factors, records and the culture that you are creating. Importantly I also offer vital resources and support services to those affected. It is a subject that can be confronting, but with an awareness of what is happening, and what needs to happen, we can create an industry that is inclusive with great cultures. One that invites apprentices and diversity.
